Climate Savers Computing Releases Guidelines for Network Energy Efficiency
Climate Savers Computing Initiative (CSCI), the 700-member consortium focused on reducing the energy consumption and carbon footprint of information and communications technologies (ICT), discusses their white paper, Considerations for Selecting Power Supplies for Networking Equipment and Evaluating Power Conversion Efficiency. The paper, the first in a series of three white papers for optimizing power efficiency across networks, has been developed by CSCI's Networking Workgroup where Broadcom Corporation, Cisco, Ecova, Emerson Network Power, LiteOn, F5, Intel and Juniper Networks are collaborating to develop best practices for network energy efficiency.
