Riverbed Named Pilothouse Award Top Provider For WAN Optimization By Nemertes Research

SAN FRANCISCO, November 25, 2009 - Riverbed Technology today announced that it has been named a PilotHouse Award Top Provider by Nemertes Research. The PilotHouse Awards ascertain how well vendors are performing according to customers in 10 technology markets. Riverbed was named the Top Provider in the WAN optimization category by obtaining the best overall scores for superior customer service, technology and value. Ponemon Institute and Imperva Survey Shows Companies Still Struggle to Protect Consumer Credit Card Data

REDWOOD SHORES, CA & TRAVERSE CITY, MI, September 23, 2009 — Imperva and the Ponemon Institute announced the findings of a survey across more than 500 U.S. and multinational IT security practitioners showing that, despite the Payment Card Industry’s (PCI) Data Security Standard (DSS), companies still struggle with data security, putting consumers at continued risk for identity theft. In fact, 71% of companies surveyed admit to not making data security a top strategic initiative, yet 79% have experienced a data breach. 55% admit to only securing credit card information and not sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, and bank account details.
